When submitting a creative request, you might be wondering how we handle downloading assets—especially if the content lives on platforms like YouTube, Instagram, or other websites. Here’s a quick breakdown of how we approach this to keep things smooth, safe, and legally sound for everyone involved.
What We Can Download
We’re able to download assets from:
Official websites or brand-owned pages with built-in download buttons
Links you send us that lead directly to downloadable files
File-sharing platforms like Google Drive, Dropbox, or WeTransfer
The key is that the download must be clearly authorized and intentionally shared by you. If it’s something you upload and provide through one of these platforms, we’re good to go.
What We Avoid Downloading Ourselves
We don’t download content from:
Sites like YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, etc.
Any platform that doesn’t offer a built-in download option
Any content that would require us to use third-party tools like 4K Downloader or browser extensions
Even if the content comes from your own account or channel, downloading it through external tools can violate platform terms of service or fall into copyright gray areas. To avoid any legal or compliance issues, we steer clear of this.
Why We Do It This Way
It’s not just about being cautious—it’s about protecting your brand and ours. While you may own the rights to your content on platforms like YouTube or Instagram, how we download it still matters. If we use unauthorized tools to grab that content, it could still breach terms of service—even if you’re the original creator.
To keep things clean and compliant:
You can upload the assets directly when creating and submitting a design request
You can also share the assets via a trusted file-sharing service
Or you can provide a download link from a site that’s meant for public access/download
