Introducing our design file delivery, storage, and management system, My Files.
Here is where Designers will be uploading the design files, and where you can download the approved designs.
How do I access My Files?
As Account Owner or Admin, you will have 2 ways accessing the My Files Folder.
On the sidebar navigation, the My Files tab will now lead you to the main folder of your account. Here you will see a list of folders of brands you have created for your account.
You will also notice a folder named "Requests w/o Brands". This will contain all the requests that you have submitted that is not associated to any brand.
Once you enter My Files, you will be able to navigate through your the past designs you have requested and approved, as we ll as your current projects, by simply selecting and entering the different folders in your account, as well as navigating using the folder breadcrumbs.
Folder structure (breadcrumb): Account name > Brand folder(s) and Request w/o brand folder > Request Type > Request > Individual design files, Archive and Source file folders
The second access is, when you are reviewing a request, you will see a button on the header called "View Files", located beside the Pause and Complete buttons. By selecting this button, it will lead you directly to the folder of the specific request, where you can find all design files related to the specific request you are reviewing.
For Account Collaborator users, there will be a few limitations on accessing the account's My Files.
Collaborators will not have My Files in the sidebar navigation. But as a Collaborator, you will have access to the Folders of the specific Requests that your permission level allows you to have access to:
Requests assigned to Collaborators
Requests created in Brands assigned to Collaborators
To access the My Files folders, you simply need to open a Request you have access to, and click on the "View Files" button beside the Pause and Complete buttons.
If you would like to go back to the request, you can simply navigate to the “View Request Details” Button. This will lead the you back to the Request of that folder.
How do I download My Files?
Once designs are approved, you can simply head over to the request, and "View Files", and select the design files you would like to download.
You can select multiple files to download at a time, or download design files individually.
You can also choose to download the request folder, if you'd like to save all designs submitted in your request - that includes all the final approved designs, all past un-approved designs, as well as all the source files used.
FAQs
Can I upload assets for designers to use here?
Unfortunately, not as of the moment. My Files is currently functioning as a file delivery system, where our designers can seamlessly upload files for your review, and where you can effortlessly download all necessary designs that you have approved.
How can I find a design file I requested for?
You can use the global search at the top navigation bar, to search for the request name, ID, or file name that you may recall about the file you are looking for. The more specific you can be in your search, the more narrowed down the results will appear.
If you find any difficulty searching for files, you may also reach out to your Design Team Leads, or Customer Success Representatives for further assistance, and we'd be happy to help pull up the files for you.
Can I share files uploaded in My Files to our other team users?
Currently, links to My Files will only be accessible to users who have existing profiles and user credentials to log in the NLC Platform. However, you are free to download all design files that has been delivered for your requests at your convenience. To share files with users who do not have access to NLC, you can simple download the design files to share them with your team as needed.
What happens to all my past designs that were delivered in Google Drive?
Past files of clients with Active subscription will be migrated from Google Drive to My Files. This means, you will still be able to find, open, and download past designs delivered for your requests by heading over to the My Files page.
Can I still share Google Drive links to designers in my request?
Yes! My Files is our design delivery system where designers will upload the design files to be delivered to you. This is not (yet) a replacement of how you can share assets and inspiration for your requests, and/or Google Drive links containing your request assets, for the designers to use. You are still free to share your own Google Drive links to the design team by adding them as a link in the Asset or Inspiration section, or by sending it to the Chat.
I cancelled my account. Can I still access My Files?
Yes, you will have access to enter the platform to download files from My Files up to 30 days after your subscription is cancelled.
I used to have a subscription, and would like to get past designs I request for, how do I find it now?
After 30 days from your account cancellation, your files will be archived. Please contact Customer Success for assistance.
