At NoLimit, we believe that the best creative work happens when we speak the same language. To help you get the most out of your requests and ensure your designs look stunning everywhere they appear, we’ve compiled this quick guide to the technical essentials.
Graphic Design:
Color
The way color is built depends entirely on where it will be seen.
RGB (Red, Green, Blue): Designed specifically for digital screens.
Best for: Social media posts, website headers, and app icons.
HEX (Hexadecimal): A six-digit code used in web development to ensure your brand's exact shade is rendered perfectly in code.
CMYK (Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, Key/Black): The standard for physical printing.
Best for: Brochures, business cards, packaging, and merchandise.

File Formats: The Right Tool for the Job
Choosing the right format ensures your assets stay sharp and editable.
Format | Name | Best Use Case |
AI | Adobe Illustrator | The Master File. Keeps everything editable. Best for logos and illustrations. |
SVG | Scalable Vector Graphics | Web-ready. Tiny file sizes that never get blurry. Best for website icons and logos. |
EPS | Encapsulated PostScript | Pro Printing. The universal choice for high-quality professional printing and signage. |
JPG | Joint Photographic Experts Group | Photography. Great for photos where you need a small file size for fast loading. |
PNG | Portable Network Graphics | Transparency. The go-to for logos or graphics that need to sit on top of different backgrounds. |
Portable Document Format | Sharing. Preserves layouts and fonts perfectly for brand guides and presentations. |
Video:
Quality and Compatibility
To keep your video projects moving fast without sacrificing beauty, here is how we handle motion:
1. Quality over Quantity
Always provide the highest quality source files possible up to 4k. This gives our editors "room to breathe" during the color grading and rendering process.
2. The Resolution "Sweet Spot"
We recommend 1080p (Full HD) or 4K. While we love detail, please avoid 8K files; they often slow down the workflow significantly without a noticeable benefit for most digital platforms.
3. Common Video Formats
MP4: The universal standard. Great balance of high quality and small file size. Ideal for social media and web.
MOV (QuickTime): High-quality video format developed by Apple. Often used for files that require "Alpha Channels" (transparent backgrounds).
ProRes: A professional "intermediate" codec. It’s a heavy file, but it preserves maximum detail for high-end editing.
GIF: A looped, compressed format without sound. Best for simple animations or memes in emails and UI/UX previews.
