But if you’re more of a DIY type, don’t worry. We’ve put together a few practical tips to help you write compelling, on-brand copy that connects and converts:

1. Leverage AI Tools

Take advantage of powerful AI tools like ChatGPT to help spark ideas and structure your messaging. These tools can support you in crafting initial copy based on your specific needs.

For example, you could prompt ChatGPT with something like:

Write 3 copy variations for children’s shoes with wheels, highlighting fun, safety, and convenience.”

AI can help you get started quickly, but we always recommend reviewing and refining the output to make sure it aligns with your brand voice and audience. A personal touch goes a long way in making your message feel authentic and compelling.

2. Identify Keywords

Make a list of keywords that you would like your copy to have. This will ensure that you stay on a specific topic and do not go off on a tangent that could confuse your potential customers.

3. Collect Common Questions

Search for the most common questions that users ask about the product you want to offer, so you can be a little more confident that you are reaching the right audience and targeting their needs. Utilize tools like Answer The Public and Also Asked for best results.

4. Optimize, Optimize, Optimize

Optimize headings, title tags, and descriptions, keep in mind the list of keywords to do it. Avoid repetitive use of the same words in the title, it should be striking and concise.

5. Focus on Benefits

Before writing, ask yourself: “What problem does this solve for the customer?

Features describe the product, but benefits explain why it matters. Highlight how your product or service improves their life, solves a pain point, or fulfills a need.

People don’t just buy products, they buy outcomes. Show them what’s in it for them, and your copy instantly becomes more persuasive and impactful.

6. Structuring Video Copy

When working with videos, it’s highly recommended to break your copy per scene. It is much easier to divide everything into smaller parts than to try to do everything as a whole.
