Design Slots

How they work and how to customize your plan

Written by Yeidi

Design slots control how many requests your team can actively work on at the same time. Understanding how they work helps you get the most out of your plan and scale at the right pace.

How design slots work

Think of your design slots as active workstreams. Each slot holds one request that our designers are actively working on. Any additional requests you've submitted sit in your queue and get picked up automatically as slots open.

Key points about design slots:

  • All plans start with a minimum of 2 design slots.

  • You can submit unlimited requests, slots only control how many are active at once.

  • Once a request is completed, the next item at the top of your queue is automatically scheduled.

  • You can reorder your queue at any time by dragging and dropping requests to prioritize what's worked on next.

Pro Tip: If you're unsure, starting with 2 slots is always a safe option. You can add more slots at any time as your volume grows.Visit Managing Design Slots to learn how to add more design slots to your subscription.

FAQs

Can I submit more requests than I have slots?

Yes, all plans include unlimited design requests. Your slots control how many are actively in progress at once, not how many you can submit. The rest sit in your queue and are picked up automatically.

What happens when a request is completed?

The slot opens immediately and the next request at the top of your queue is automatically scheduled. No action needed on your part.

Can I change my number of slots later?

Absolutely, your slot count is never locked in. You can scale up as your workload grows or scale down whenever you need to. Visit Managing Design Slots to learn how.

Do slots carry over between months?

Slots aren't a monthly credit, they're a permanent part of your plan. As long as you're subscribed, your slots are always active and available.
