Design slots determine the volume of work your team can have in progress at any given time. The more design slots you have, the more requests our team can actively work on simultaneously, helping you move through your queue faster.
How Design Slots Work
Each design slot holds one active request, whether it's a graphic, video, or web design project. Think of them like lanes on a highway: more lanes means more traffic can move at once.
All plans start at 2 design slots, with options to move up to 4, 6, or more.
You can submit unlimited design requests each month, your slots determine how many our team works on at the same time.
Once a request is completed, the slot opens automatically and the next request at the top of your queue is scheduled, keeping your workflow moving without any manual intervention.
You can prioritize requests at any time by dragging and dropping the order of your queue, giving you full control over what gets worked on first.
How to Manage Your Design Slots
There are two ways to adjust your capacity:
Add extra design slots: you can add individual design slots to your existing plan at any time without changing your capability bucket. You'll only be charged a prorated amount based on the days remaining in your billing cycle. Learn more about customizing your plan with additional design slots.
💡 Pro tip: On a plan with 6 or more design slots? You unlock access to Concierge Connect, a dedicated Slack channel with our team for real-time collaboration, faster support, and direct access to our Design Directors.
The Value of Having the Right Capacity
Having the right number of design slots means your team is never bottlenecked waiting for one project to finish before the next one can start. Whether you're running a campaign launch, managing multiple brands, or scaling your agency's output, the right capacity ensures your design workflow keeps pace with your business demands, without unnecessary delays.
Enhanced request lifecycle
Whenever a request is being actively worked on or is pending review, the request will occupy an active slot, staying on your radar for easier access and improved visibility.
Once the request is approved and marked complete, it will release the active slot for your next queued request to be worked on. You can also leverage the pause and resume functionality to keep the queue moving forward.
FAQs
How can I control how my design slots are used?
Design slots will be occupied based on how the design queue is prioritized, regardless of whether it's a graphic or video request. For example, if you'd like your graphic design requests worked on before a video request, simply bump the graphic design requests to the top of the list. As those are completed, your video request will move to the top of the queue and be worked on next. We recommend learning more about how to manage your design queue.
I need work done on a queued request ASAP. How can I free up a design slot?
You can complete or pause requests that are currently being worked on or pending review. As soon as a request is completed or paused, a design slot will be released so that the request at the top of the queue is scheduled and worked on.
Pro tip: Need to get that urgent request moving without pausing ongoing work? Add more design slots to your plan and keep everything running in parallel.
How do I know if a request is occupying a design slot?
A request is considered active if it is labeled as: Design in Progress, Scheduling, Being Revised, Resizing, Ready for Review, Awaiting Response. We recommend learning more about how status tags work.
💡 Pro tip: Need more capacity? You can easily add more design slots to your design plan whenever your workload grows, giving you the flexibility to scale your output as needed.
